Sara White started Nine Muses in an effort to bring the story to everyday business situations. She has a Master’s degree in Communications, focused on content marketing from St. Bonaventure University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Computer Science from the University of Arkansas. She brings over 25 years of experience in technical writing, editing, and content creation. With a customer service background, she is an empathetic marketer and writer.
As the team lead of the AskHR content writers at Tyson, Sara developed the HR division’s writing style guide using the AP Stylebook and the company’s existing brand guidelines. She held an average 3.3/5 rating on over 1,500 articles in different departments with different subject matter experts. At Coronis Health, she created PMO artifacts and wrote the knowledge base using the Chicago Manual of Style for VisiQuate and the medical coding app, Anesthesia Touch.
From 2017 to 2021, Sara focused on writing SEO-centric content for SupplyPike, a Fayetteville software startup. She increased SupplierWiki page views by over 50% year-over-year in 2021 and improved organic search performance for key phrases that drove conversions and growth. She also wrote content for webinars and designed their presentation materials. At Vendormint, another startup, she increased web traffic by 45% in two months with a new website design and SEO-focused content. She wrote blog posts and created a newsletter with an average open rate of 30%.
Since 2017, Sara has volunteered every year as a web developer, project manager, graphic designer, and wordsmith for the nonprofit GiveCamp NWA. As a project manager, she collected assets and researched the client ahead of the yearly weekend event to maximize efficiency and finish the project within the 72-hour deadline. Additionally, she wrote SEO copy for the websites and developed them in WordPress.
